The crested ibis represents ardor and purity. Its body is covered with red and white feathers. According to legend, it flies swiftly around the sacred altar every day, leaving behind circles of red and white afterimages. These afterimages gradually gather and form two rings with a white gemstone and a red gemstone respectively. They are hard and emit an auspicious glow. These two rings are regarded as auspicious talismans.
